Samsung Galaxy S24 Unveils Sensational Surprises

Samsung Flagship Shoppers in for a Surprise with New Galaxy S24 Series

Samsung enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the next wave of camera-centric Galaxy S flagship phones might be in for both pleasant and unpleasant surprises. Alleged renders of the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra have been shared by SmartPrix in collaboration with @OnLeaks, revealing some noteworthy changes.

Firstly, the positive news is that Samsung appears to be moving away from curved screens, a design feature that had previously impressed many. The leaked media suggests that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will come with a flat screen. This change may alleviate concerns about ghost touches and the fragility associated with curved edges.

To accommodate the removal of curved glass, Samsung has introduced slimmer bezels to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. These bezels are uniformly thin on all sides, making it Samsung’s slimmest bezel offering to date. Despite being a fan of curved glass aesthetics, the impressively narrow bezels on the Galaxy S24 Ultra are visually appealing.

The rest of the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s design remains familiar. It features flat metallic side rails with subtly rounded edges and is speculated to have a 6.8-inch display with 2,000 nits brightness output. Additionally, the phone may come equipped with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16GB of RAM, 2TB storage, and a quad-camera setup on the rear.

On the other hand, the vanilla Galaxy S24 seems to deviate from its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S23, by adopting a flattened frame with sharp edges. This design choice appears to imitate Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro series, which, despite its pocketable size, has been known to feel uncomfortable due to the sharp edges. Samsung’s decision to move away from the comfortable form factor of the Galaxy S23 may disappoint some users. However, the hardware specifications of the Galaxy S24 are expected to remain unchanged, with the addition of an antenna band for an Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip.

Internally, the Galaxy S24 series is predicted to offer a 6.17-inch OLED display, Qualcomm’s next flagship chip, support for 45W charging, and a triple camera setup highlighted by a 50-megapixel main snapper. In another imitation of Apple, Samsung is reportedly embracing titanium for the Galaxy S24 series, a material known for its lightweight, corrosion resistance, and high durability. However, consumers hope that Samsung will avoid the overheating issues that plagued Apple’s recent flagship devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24 are expected to be officially announced in January or February 2024.
