An all-new chapter in the book of James Brand

The James Brand has become a modern icon of minimalist design over the past 10 years, consistently introducing sleek and timeless knives and tools. The brand, which originated in Portland, Oregon in 2012, was founded by designers who were tired of the bulky and overbuilt knives saturating the market. They set out to create a simple and practical tool that was small enough to carry every day, resulting in the launch of their first knife, the Chapter.

After a decade of success and numerous product launches, The James Brand has revisited their roots with the introduction of the Chapter 2. This updated version maintains the classic silhouette of its predecessor but incorporates some notable changes. The handle features a new split segment on the clip side, adding a touch of visual flair while staying true to the brand’s minimalist aesthetic.

One of the most significant updates to the Chapter 2 is the reorientation of the blade for tip-up carry, a change based on customer feedback. The titanium clip, which is fully machined, ensures secure and convenient carrying. The drop-point blade, made from S35VN stainless steel, measures 2.6 inches and offers precision cutting power for various tasks.

Weighing only 2.9 ounces and measuring 3.8 inches when closed, the Chapter 2 is designed for effortless everyday carry. The smooth opening action, facilitated by ceramic bearings, and the reliable titanium frame lock make it a reliable companion for daily use. The Chapter 2 is available for purchase at a retail price of $349, with a special edition Huckberry x The James Brand version available at a slightly lower price of $329. With its sleek design and practical functionality, the Chapter 2 is a standout addition to The James Brand’s lineup.
