HPE Eyes $14B Juniper Networks Acquisition

Juniper, for its part, has been touting its latest AI-based offerings, such as the Mist line of wireless LAN and switching products. The company has incorporated machine-learning algorithms, chatbots, and AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations) features to streamline the process of identifying network issues for sysadmins.

While the acquisition of Juniper promises to expand HPE’s networking portfolio, it also raises the prospect of potential overlap between the two previously competing businesses.
