Revolutionize how you carry your camera with Swift-Lock – The game-changing DSLR accessory on Kickstarter!

Carrying your camera could soon become a breeze with the innovative Swift-Lock system. This new system, currently being promoted through a Kickstarter campaign by German photography gear company Spinn.Design, offers users a more stable and accessible way to tote their DSLR.

At the core of the Swift-Lock system are an anodized aluminum base plate and quick-release plate. The base plate is attached to the camera strap, while the quick-release plate is connected to the camera itself. When users want to carry their camera, they simply slide the quick-release plate into the base plate, which then magnetically locks together, securely holding the camera in place.

One of the key advantages of the Swift-Lock system is that the camera hangs in a downward-facing orientation, with its underside lying flat against the user’s body. This provides a more stable carry position compared to traditional straps that leave the camera hanging with its back against the body and the lens sticking out. Furthermore, this orientation allows for easier access to the camera’s controls and viewscreen, as the strap doesn’t obstruct them.

Removing the camera from the Swift-Lock system is simple – users just need to slide a release lever on the base plate and pull the camera off. They can then choose to hand-hold the camera or mount it on a tripod that follows Arca or Peak Design standards.

For those interested in getting their hands on the Swift-Lock system, a pledge of €59 (about US$64) on Kickstarter will secure a package including the base and quick-release plates (with a planned retail price of €79 or $86). The system-specific strap, while not required, can be added as an extra at checkout.

With its ease of use, stable orientation, and convenient features, the Swift-Lock system is set to revolutionize the way photographers carry their cameras. Check out the demonstration video on Kickstarter to see the system in action.
