“Revolutionizing the Streaming Experience: Comcast and Charter Unite with Best Buy to Launch Xumo-Branded TVs for Unbeatable Entertainment”

Best Buy is set to introduce a new line of televisions that will integrate the Xumo platform from telecom giants Comcast and Charter. The streaming platform, jointly owned by the two companies, will launch the Pioneer Xumo TVs both online and in stores starting from November.

The Pioneer Xumo 4K Ultra HD Smart TV aims to provide users with a seamless content-finding experience through a universal voice search remote. It boasts an “intuitive user interface” that enables viewers to browse and manage content across all their streaming apps simultaneously. The home screen allows users to conveniently access recently used apps, services, content, HDMI inputs, and broadcast channels.

One of the key features of the Pioneer Xumo TV is the ability for users to create a personalized “My List” where they can save films and series to watch later from multiple apps, including Xumo Play, Disney+, Max, Apple TV+, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, Prime Video, YouTube, Pluto, and Tubi.

Stephanie Cassi, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Xumo, mentioned that the focus is on simplifying the streaming experience and allowing consumers to fully enjoy their TV time. Xumo Play, an ad-supported streaming service, has been a strategic move by Comcast and Charter, the two largest cable TV providers in the US. Similar to Roku, which has integrated its own platform into TCL TVs, this collaboration aims to enhance user convenience.

The televisions will come with a pre-loaded selection of “hundreds of apps” and will be exclusively sold at Best Buy. Cassi emphasized that the partnership with Best Buy provides consumers with an exciting choice for affordable and innovative smart TVs.

Available in 43″, 50″, 55″, and 65″ screen sizes, the Pioneer Xumo TVs support Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10, providing enhanced color and contrast for an immersive viewing experience of your favorite content.
