Samsung Galaxy: Empowering Tomorrow’s Innovators

Samsung Empowers the Innovators of Tomorrow Through Global Education Initiatives

Every year on August 12, the United Nations recognizes International Youth Day as a way to highlight the challenges faced by today’s youth and celebrate their achievements and potential. In today’s rapidly evolving job market, it is increasingly important for young individuals to familiarize themselves with technology and digital skills to stay competitive. To address this need, Samsung Electronics is committed to empowering young minds through its global corporate social responsibility programs.

One of these programs is the Samsung Innovation Campus, which plays a crucial role in shaping and nurturing the capabilities of young individuals by providing comprehensive training in information and communication technology (ICT). With a presence in 35 countries worldwide, the initiative has already impacted 119,000 talented participants.

In Turkey, where there is a growing demand for ICT specialists, the Samsung Innovation Campus offers technical education and hands-on experience to students, helping them stand out in the job market. Özge Özkaya, a participant of the program, has used her knowledge gained from the initiative to develop an AI solution capable of predicting forest fires. Özge and her team’s success exemplifies the real-world impact that Samsung Innovation Campus strives to achieve.

In South Africa, the program has empowered Katlego Magoro, who discovered his passion for coding and programming despite his initial hesitation. With the relevant skills gained from the Samsung Innovation Campus, Katlego has become a skilled software developer and aims to bring digital strength to underserved communities in South Africa. This commitment aligns with Samsung’s belief that technology can be a powerful tool for ending social divides and promoting greater equality.

Greece’s tech sector has seen significant growth, and Georgia Maniati, a language engineer, deepened her passion for AI at the Samsung Innovation Campus. The program’s curriculum surpassed her expectations, and she now works as an AI speech and language research scientist at Samsung, contributing to projects like the Bixby digital assistant and global language endeavors.

In Thailand, Samsung Innovation Campus is in line with the country’s shift towards innovation and technology-driven growth. High school students Sirithorn Pinthong and Jitchaya Phuwanatum embarked on their tech journey through the program, building a foundation for their education and future careers. Sirithorn expressed gratitude for the step-by-step guidance and support from teachers and mentors, stating that the program has given him a clearer vision for his engineering career path.

Through initiatives like the Samsung Innovation Campus, Samsung Electronics is equipping young individuals with the necessary skills to succeed in today’s digital landscape. By empowering and nurturing young minds, Samsung is fostering a new generation of innovators who are poised to make a positive impact on the world and drive innovation forward.
