Samsung Unveils Galaxy Buds2 Pro’s Impressive LE Audio Upgrade for Samsung Smart TV

Samsung Electronics has announced new software updates for its Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Samsung Smart TVs, expanding the LE Audio capabilities and enhancing audio experiences across a wider range of devices. With these updates, LE Audio capabilities are now extended to Samsung TVs through Auracast broadcast audio technology, enabling the transmission of rich and complex sound to nearby Bluetooth devices.

LE Audio is an advanced Bluetooth audio standard that goes beyond just delivering better-sounding music. It provides a more immersive audio experience and allows users to share sound with others as they personally experience it. Samsung, known for its innovative technologies, has been leveraging LE Audio-based features to enhance sound experiences. One such feature is 360 Audio Recording, which allows Galaxy smartphone users to capture sound on video exactly as they hear it, without the need for professional equipment. Additionally, select Samsung Galaxy Book3 devices offer improved latency for a crystal clear listening experience, ideal for gaming and multimedia consumption.

Now, with the introduction of Auracast broadcast audio technology for Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Samsung 2023 Neo QLED 8K and 2023 MICRO LED TVs, Samsung is taking connected experiences beyond mobile devices and into home appliances. Through this technology, users can transform their device into a shared radio station that can broadcast across multiple connected devices. With the new LE Audio capabilities, users can connect multiple sets of Galaxy Buds to a TV, expanding the possibilities for shared listening experiences. Auracast opens up numerous potential use cases, such as augmented or assistive listening in a theater or lecture hall, sharing playlists with friends during a run, or even providing multi-language support without the need for translation devices by sending different language interpretations via different channels.

Junho Park, VP and Head of Galaxy Ecosystem Product Planning Team at Samsung Electronics, highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering seamless and extended experiences across its range of electronic devices. Park stated, “LE Audio is a perfect example that shows our commitment to connected experiences across our entire library of devices, and how Samsung is introducing new capabilities and technologies that bring them all together.”

The introduction of the Auracast feature demonstrates how Samsung is connecting devices and services to offer novel experiences to users. More exciting announcements from Samsung’s connected experiences will be shared at the upcoming IFA event in Berlin, taking place from September 1-5.

Note: The availability of these features may vary by market and model, and software updates will be required for both the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and the paired Samsung TV. The number of Galaxy Buds2 Pro users that can be connected may also be affected by factors like distance and obstruction.
