“Unveiling the Unparalleled: Pluto TV Reigns Supreme as the Top-Rated Cord Cutting Service in Apple App Store, Outperforming YouTube TV, Paramount+, Netflix & Co.”

Pluto TV Achieves Milestone with Over 1 Million App Reviews and High Ratings

Pluto TV, the popular streaming service, has reached a significant milestone this week by garnering over 1 million reviews on its app. With an impressive average rating of 4.8 out of 5, Pluto TV solidifies its position as one of the highest-rated streaming platforms in the market.

Notably, this rating surpasses Tubi’s achievement of over 476,000 reviews with an average rating of 4.7. In comparison, the streaming giant Netflix boasts a massive 363.4 million reviews but only manages an average rating of 3.7. Similarly, YouTube TV has acquired 48,400 reviews with the same average rating of 3.7. However, one of the closest competitors in terms of rating is Paramount’s very own Paramount+ with 484,000 reviews and an impressive average rating of 4.6 out of 5.

Paramount has recently focused its investments on Pluto TV, which has undoubtedly contributed to its exponential growth. By adding past seasons of exclusive shows from Paramount+, Pluto TV has managed to establish itself as one of the most popular and sought-after cord-cutting streaming services, whether paid or free.

Coinciding with this accomplishment, Inscape, an industry leader in TV viewership data, has released a report that sheds light on the current state of viewership. According to the report, free streaming services like Pluto TV have witnessed a staggering 70% increase in viewership during the second quarter of 2023, as compared to the same period in 2022. This highlights the growing popularity of free ad-supported streaming TV (FASTs), which provide viewers with a diverse range of curated programming and easy access.

Inscape stated, “Considering that smart TVs frequently present FAST services to viewers as soon as they turn on their televisions, it is no surprise that FAST viewing time has surged by 70% in Q2 2023 when compared to Q2 2022.”

These findings from Inscape coincide with Nielsen’s recently published State of Play report, which examines the state of streaming and traditional television. Nielsen analyzed the number of free live channels on various services including Pluto TV, Xumo Play, The Roku Channel, Tubi, and others. The report revealed that in the United States alone, there are 1,073 free channels on offer, while the UK has 206, Germany has 108, and other regions have 37. This amounts to a total of 1,434 free live channels across these platforms.

As more and more cord-cutters seek affordable alternatives for their entertainment needs, the increasing popularity of free services like Pluto TV comes as no surprise. Customers are turning to these platforms, which offer a wide array of content options, ensuring that viewers always find something enjoyable to watch at a budget-friendly cost.
