“Utah Jazz Takes Control: Breaking Free with a Cutting-Edge Streaming Service!”

The Utah Jazz basketball team is embracing the digital age by launching a new streaming service called Jazz+. This move comes after the team ended its partnership with AT&T SportsNet. Jazz+ provides local fans with the opportunity to watch live games without the need for a cable or satellite provider. Subscribers to the service will gain access to insider content, exclusive footage, and over 80 live games, commencing on October 8 when the Jazz takes on the Los Angeles Clippers.

For a monthly fee of $15.50, Jazz+ members will enjoy a range of benefits, including live games, exclusive content, on-demand games, preseason matches, and Spanish-language broadcasts. Alternatively, fans can opt for an annual subscription at a cost of $125.50, while Utah Jazz season ticket packages will now include an annual Jazz+ subscription.

This move by the Jazz follows a growing trend of sports teams capitalizing on the cord-cutting phenomenon with their own streaming services. Recently, the Las Vegas Golden Knights announced the pricing for their own streaming service. Additionally, reports suggest that regional sports network Bally Sports may face closure as early as this weekend, and Warner Bros. Discovery is planning to wind down the AT&T SportsNet RSN business.

In addition to the new streaming service, the Jazz has also made strides in broadcast accessibility by airing its games on the over-the-air network KJZZ, which is owned by Sinclair Broadcasting. Many sports teams have chosen to return to local broadcasters after having been tied to a regional sports network for years.

Jazz+ offers more than just live game streaming. The service features an original video-on-demand series produced by Smith Entertainment Group (SEG), showcasing various exciting moments from the team, including behind-the-scenes footage with players and coaches. Some of the shows available on Jazz+ include Shoot the Shot with Coach Hardy, Utah Sights & Bites, and Meet the Coaches. As the season progresses, additional shows will be introduced.

SEG has also collaborated with the Jazz to create a special tribute in honor of the team’s 50th anniversary, which is set to debut in November.

Ryan Smith, chairman of Smith Entertainment Group and governor of the Utah Jazz, expressed his excitement about the new developments, stating, “This season, we have so many reasons to celebrate being a Utah Jazz fan – from the return of Delta Center and our 50th anniversary season to the launch of Jazz+ and the ability for anyone in Utah to watch Jazz games on KJZZ. With Jazz+, we have created 24/7 digital access to the team.”

When the season opener takes place on October 25, live game streams on Jazz+ will include pre and post-game shows, as well as the option to listen to games play-by-play. Members will have the choice of English or Spanish commentary.

For casual fans who may not be interested in a full subscription, pay-per-view games can be accessed for a fee of $5 each. As an incentive for those eager to try out the new streaming service, signing up for an annual subscription before October 24 will reward them with two tickets to a Utah Jazz game at the Delta Center. Additionally, early birds will receive a team t-shirt and hat to show their support.
