Initially, this feature will be available to groups within a Community, with a gradual rollout to all groups over the coming months. This update aims to streamline event planning and increase engagement within Community groups.
In addition to event organization, WhatsApp has also introduced a new feature for Announcement Groups, where group admins can send updates to all members. Users now have the ability to reply to messages in Announcement Groups, with responses grouped together for easy viewing. This feature allows admins to gather feedback from members while maintaining a clutter-free environment.
WhatsApp launched Communities in November 2022, enabling neighborhoods, school associations, and hobby groups to stay connected by combining up to 50 groups. The company has committed to introducing more features to Communities and groups in the coming months, further enhancing the user experience.
